Composio
The RAG layer that turns Composio's connector ecosystem into a unified company-data source for AI agents.
The Challenge
Composio gives AI agents access to a large ecosystem of external tools and connectors. The next step was a unified knowledge layer — a way for agents to query a company's data across all of those connectors as a single, coherent source. That is a retrieval-augmented generation problem at platform scale: connecting and syncing data from a wide variety of connectors, keeping it fresh, and keeping retrieval quality high enough to offer to Composio's own end users as a platform capability. Composio — well-funded and well-known in the AI community — brought in Ingram as their AI experts to build it.
Our Approach
Design RAG for heterogeneous connector data
Data from dozens of different connectors arrives in dozens of different shapes. We designed a retrieval architecture that normalizes and indexes that variety into something an agent can query as one unified source.
Build the sync layer
A unified data layer is only as good as its freshness. We built the connect-and-sync pipeline that keeps company data flowing from Composio's connectors into the system reliably and continuously.
Engineer retrieval quality to a shippable standard
This wasn't an internal tool — it was going to Composio's users. We focused hard on retrieval quality and evaluation, because the bar for a platform feature is higher than the bar for a demo.
Deliver it as a platform capability
We built the RAG system as something Composio could offer directly to its end users — a unified, agent-ready company-data layer, deployed as part of their platform.
What We Deployed
- •A RAG-based system offered as a Composio platform capability
- •A connect-and-sync pipeline spanning Composio's variety of connectors
- •A unified company-data layer that AI agents can query as a single source
- •Retrieval architecture and evaluation engineered for platform-grade quality
Outcomes
- •Composio can offer its users a unified, RAG-powered company-data layer for agents
- •A well-funded, widely-known AI platform chose Ingram as its AI engineering partner
- •An ongoing partnership — Ingram continues to help build, improve, and scale
