Swarmnetics
A web-based vulnerability assessment and discovery platform — a Singtel partnership, funded by the government of Singapore.
The Challenge
Swarmnetics set out to build a vulnerability assessment and discovery platform serious enough to carry a Singtel partnership and government of Singapore funding. The hard part wasn't a single feature — it was the shape of the problem. Security teams already rely on a fragmented landscape of pentesting tools, each with its own output, workflow, and quirks. A platform that tried to replace them would be ignored; a platform that could orchestrate them, unify their findings, and manage the whole vulnerability lifecycle in one place would be genuinely useful. And a security platform, of all things, has to be exceptionally well-engineered itself. Swarmnetics engaged Ingram for the rare combination it needed: cybersecurity domain expertise and production software engineering, on the same team.
Our Approach
Map the real pentesting workflow
Before building anything, we worked through how vulnerability assessment and discovery actually happens — across discovery, assessment, triage, and reporting — so the platform reflected practitioners' work rather than an idealized version of it.
Integrate, don't replace
We architected the platform around the existing market of pentesting tools, building it to work with the many tools security teams already use rather than forcing a rip-and-replace. The platform became the connective tissue and the single pane of glass over a fragmented toolchain.
Engineer to a security-platform standard
A platform backed by Singtel and a national government can't ship like a prototype. We brought our security-first practices to its own architecture — hardened, reviewed, and built to hold up to the scrutiny its backers and users would apply.
Deliver a production web platform
We carried the project through to a working, deployed web application — not a proof of concept, but the real platform Swarmnetics took to market.
What We Deployed
- •A web-based vulnerability assessment and discovery platform
- •Integrations spanning a range of existing third-party pentesting tools
- •Unified workflows across the vulnerability lifecycle — discovery, assessment, triage, and reporting
- •A hardened, security-first architecture befitting a security platform
- •A production web application, delivered end to end
Outcomes
- •A production platform delivered for a Singtel partnership funded by the government of Singapore
- •A fragmented pentesting toolchain unified into a single, coherent workflow
- •Cybersecurity and software engineering expertise delivered by one team, without translation loss
