Call for Artists: AI in the Arts Research Projects
Jerome Leclanche
•2025-09-06

We’re looking for artists in Belgium who want to push what AI can do in the arts. Bring us a question, a sensation, a tension. We’ll build with you, crafting experiments, models, instruments, and interfaces that make your research sing.
Think: image systems that feel, diffusion models that remember, voices that bend space, movement that choreographs with you, archives that dream, rooms that listen.
What you’ll explore
- Image and diffusion practices (custom training, style transfer, controllable generation)
- Sound, music, and voice (hybrid synthesis, multilingual dramaturgy, live processing)
- Performance and motion (embodied AI, stage-responsive systems, mocap + generative)
- Archives and memory (curation tools, provenance, incomplete histories, speculative repair)
- Spatial and urban media (AR/VR installations, data sonification, sensing)
Your project is research-first. We’re here for method, prototyping, iteration, and presentation, without losing the poetry.
What we bring
- Model craft (diffusion, multimodal, fine-tuning, retrieval, interpretability)
- Fast prototyping (interactive tools, agents, MLOps, staging)
- Ethical practice (consent, licensing, transparency, bias auditing)
- Production support (docs, packaging, exhibition builds)
